Mallz x X3M – The I in Team (EP)
North Carolina emcee, Mallz follows up his 2011 album, Service Entrance by teaming up with Serbian beatmaker, X3M on The I In Team.
The six-song EP features Mallz sharing the mic with fellow Alpha Male Society emcees, Big Hop and H2OKZ along with others. “The title is a play on the old sports adage, ‘there’s no I in team. I wanted to do something a little different this time by featuring other artists on my album instead of taking every track to the head, solo.”
Although The I In Team has more guest appearances than a typical Mallz release, his presence remains dominant throughout with tracks such as the aggressive first single, “Sleeping Giant” and the amorous tale, “Dumpin’ Ain’t Easy”.
Mallz continues to build his momentum as well as his reputation as a premier lyricist; and The I In Team serves as another example of the Alpha Male emcee’s ability to consistently deliver quality hip hop.
